Course Outline

 

Lesson 1: Where did your body image come from? This lesson helps you understand the origins of your body image by reflecting on past experiences, and offers tools for challenging learned negative beliefs.

 

Lesson 2: Intentional Thoughts. This lesson encourages you to practice intentional positive thoughts about your body when looking in a mirror, focusing on what you like rather than what you dislike, and wishing yourself well.

 

Lesson 3: Love is an Action. This lesson emphasizes that loving your body involves taking action to care for it, and asks you to identify areas where you can improve your self-care.

 

Lesson 4: Other People's Opinions. This lesson provides strategies for dealing with external perceptions of your body, including understanding how your beliefs shape interactions, accepting what you can't control, recognizing how partners see you that is different than how you see yourself, and focusing outward.

 

Lesson 5: A Good Relationship with Your Body. This lesson compares your relationship with your body to a relationship with another person, guiding you to identify and change negative behaviors while adding positive ones to foster a better connection with your body.
